CSR/ESG

At Guildmore we are committed to our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). That means we don’t just construct buildings, we build communities. We work closely with our employees and charitable partners to set new standards of CSR strategy, which incorporates responsible behavior at every stage of project delivery, reduces health and safety risks, improves our green footprint, and brings focus to local communities.

Above all, we set out to develop safe, healthy, strong communities for people to live, work, play and study and engage with each other.

The company works closely with its employees and strategic charitable partners to deliver its community investment agenda and participates in several community-based welfare schemes.

Recent Projects

Giving Back

Whilst undertaking our Goschen estate Cladding remedial project, for Southwark Council, we had to close a playground situated nearby which has been running for +45 years!

Guildmore could quickly see how this playground was a small Haven for the children of the local area – especially during the lockdown period. However, we also noticed it was in need of some TLC. We decided to fund and project manage a makeover to make this playground a safe and fun environment for children to meet for many years to come.

Diversity – Our Promises

We support vulnerable and disadvantaged residents; women, BME groups, disabled people and unemployed youth with employment and training opportunities:

WOMEN

We are currently evaluating membership with Women into Construction CIC and WISH giving us the opportunity to advertise employment opportunities, apprenticeships, work experience placements, and internships

BAME Groups:

We forge links with local community groups and organizations such as Voyage Youth, a London-based charity that works to reduce employment amongst black and racially diverse youth.

Disabled people:

Groups such as Disability – Backup are consulted to identify the best way to reach individuals living with disabilities who wish to pursue a career in construction

Unemployed youth:

We target work opportunities for young people including direct employment, apprenticeships and work experience placements.

Health & Safety

We will use our four-point collaborative system of risk management (shown to Left) to identify risks during preconstruction and manage/mitigate in delivery
