New Energy Efficient Homes for Residents in Cheshire West and Chester Council  We’re looking forward to start installing innovative Energy Efficiency Measures to create warmer homes for residents in Ellesmere Port and Neston.

Existing homes will benefit from high specification external wall insulation just in time for winter.

Keith Laing, Head of Façades and Cladding at Guildmore commented “We have worked closely with our supply chain partners including Soltherm External Insulation Ltd to create a new innovative approach to surveying properties which will reduce the impact on residents.  Our approach will ensure the highest levels of consideration are maintained are all times when working in and around people’s homes”.

A Council spokesperson from Cheshire West and Chester Council said: “This is a good example of an activity that will be of benefit to residents, saving fuel costs whilst keeping their homes warm at the same time contributing to the climate emergency solutions. The Council has declared that the borough is in a climate emergency, we are working with partners and communities to tackle climate change in the area.  We welcome ideas like this on how we can reduce carbon and other greenhouse gas emissions”.

The project is receiving funding from the England European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.  The Department for Communities and Local Government is the Managing Authority for ERDF.
