Carlton and Granville

Guildmore is delivering the phased redevelopment of the Carlton and Granville community centre in South Kilburn for the London Borough of Brent, as part of the wider South Kilburn regeneration programme.

The £23m scheme involves partial demolition and construction of three new buildings, providing community facilities, offices, meeting rooms, event spaces and a refurbished nursery and children’s centre. The development features a CLT superstructure supported by a transfer slab, with brick and metal cladding facades and heritage clay tile detailing. Sustainable measures include ground source heat pumps, integrated PV panels, a Bauder green roof and IoT-enabled building management systems.

Three phases have now completed, including the nursery and community hall. The residential phase, providing 18 self-contained flats, is the next planned stage of delivery.
